How to Make a Cupcake Bouque
Cupcakes are small food items eaten with delight. They are not only enjoyed by children rather by the people of all ages. Cupcakes are diversified food items as they can be prepared in different shapes and flavor. The arrangement of cupcakes is also an interesting task. Most of the traditional bakers prefer to arrange them in shelves or trays. Another option is arranging cupcakes in a bouquet. Making a cupcake bouquet is an interesting experience. Due to its attractive presentation, it has been started extensively using the baby shower, bridal shower or birthday parties. Below are some easy steps to make a cupcake bouquet on your own.
Supplies:
Take a solid bouquet base. It will save you from any damage while transporting your cupcake bouquet. You can use any old flower pot present in your home.
Step 2: Attaching the Paper Cups:
Take a Styrofoam ball. It will provide support to fix your paper cups. Place your pot on the table and put a Styrofoam ball in its open mouth, in a way that it exactly fits in. Now take some paper cups and cut them from the middle. You will need the lower part of the paper cups with a base. Put some glue on the bottom of the base and stick the cup with the Styrofoam ball. Repeat the process for all cups needed. A way to make it even more fasten is to pinch in a toothpick from the base of each paper cup. Push the toothpicks in a way that half of it is sticking up. A combination of paper cups and toothpick will prevent the weight of frosting to damage the cake base.
Step 3: Adding the Cupcakes:
Place the cupcakes very vigilantly into the cups ensuring all the toothpicks pierce through the base of the cupcake paper.
Step 4: Filling the Vacant Spaces:
Make a cupcake liner in a way to fill the empty spaces. Use it to minimize the gap between the paper cups and repeat the step unless all gaps become filled.
Step 5: Piping the Cupcakes:
Fill the piping bag with buttercream and add a star-shaped tip in front of it. Add some color to it for a fascinating look. You can make multi-colored flower petals with it. Best way to use a piping bag is to hold it vertically, keeping some distance from the surface of the cupcake. Allow the buttercream to come out of the tip, creating a small blossom. Repeat the process unless the entire surface gets covered. Use a mix of two different colors to give an enchanting look to the bouquet. After it, keep the cupcake bouquet in the fridge for 20-25 minutes to make everything settle down. Detail of steps needed to prepare a cupcake bouquet is explained in the following link.
